Hiring a car should be stress-free. Before you drive off, run through this short checklist.
Make sure you have your driving licence and identification with you, and that your licence is valid for the whole hire period.
Walk around the car with the owner and note any scratches or dents. Take photos so there is no confusion when you return it. Check the tyres, lights and wipers, and look at the spare wheel.
Tell the owner where you're going so you get a car that suits the roads you'll be driving.
